Civil Jobs is an independent search engine indexing open UK Civil Service vacancies. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by HM Government. The site currently indexes over 1,000 live vacancies, refreshed several times a day. Last updated 30 September 2026.
1. Purpose & Value
Our primary goal is to help candidates discover Civil Service opportunities more efficiently. We extract key metrics such as post counts, salary bands, and location data to help applicants focus their efforts effectively.
2. Data Sourcing & OGL Compliance
All vacancy listings originate from public sector job postings on civilservicejobs.service.gov.uk. Content is re-used under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Crown copyright material is attributed accordingly. Official logos and crests are omitted to comply with OGL terms.
3. Editorial Standards
Civil Jobs Admins is the editorial team responsible for candidate guidance, source citations and corrections. Guidance is checked against linked official sources and carries a visible last-reviewed date. Vacancy pages and hub counts are generated from the latest available feed; automated summaries can be incomplete, so the official advert always takes precedence.
4. Contact & Takedown Requests
For enquiries, corrections, or data removal requests, contact [email protected]. Personal contact details of recruitment personnel are routinely redacted prior to publication.
5. Supporting the Site
Civil Jobs is free to use, with no account required to browse or search. It's run as an independent side project, and the running costs (hosting, AI processing, and the scraper that keeps listings current) are paid for out of pocket. If you've found it useful, you can leave a tip via Ko-fi, entirely optional, and it doesn't unlock any extra features.
