Consultant Medical Virologist
This role provides expert consultant-level input into clinical virology, public health services, and laboratory operations at the UK Health Security Agency. The post holder works collaboratively with multidisciplinary infection service colleagues to offer clinical advice, manage infection outbreaks, supervise junior medical staff, and participate in an on-call rota. Day-to-day duties involve specimen analysis, interpreting results, conducting ward rounds, and contributing to teaching, research, and clinical governance.

Selection process
Interviews are planned for 10th Nov 2026 and will be face-to-face, including a 5-10 minute presentation.
