Cyber Monitoring Advisor
This role protects public health by maintaining cyber security across the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency. The postholder monitors and investigates security alerts, designs automated monitoring processes using modern tools, and participates in an on-call out-of-hours incident response rota. Working within the Digital and Technology Group, the advisor collaborates with internal teams and external government partners to support regulatory technology platforms.
What they're looking for
- Experience managing and resolving cyber security vulnerabilities
- Ability to communicate complex technical info to a non-technical audience
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel, XDR or similar platforms
Qualifications
- Cyber Security Level 4 certification or above and/or CISMP and/or Security+ and/or CySA+
Nationality requirements
Open to UK, Irish, Commonwealth, EU/EEA/Swiss, and Turkish nationals with appropriate rights to work.
Selection process
Sifting starts from 30 October 2026. Main panel interviews take place from 9 November 2026.
