DNO Cost Controller
The Ministry of Defence seeks a Cost Controller to support the financial management of the Astraea programme and the wider Integrated Stockpile Management portfolio within the Defence Nuclear Organisation. You will maintain forecasting models, deliver robust financial reporting, and manage general ledger activities while collaborating with programme teams, commercial functions, and international partners. The role provides financial insight and challenge to ensure effective decision-making across complex, high-priority defence projects. You will work closely with finance colleagues and key delivery partners such as the Atomic Weapons Establishment and United States counterparts.
What they're looking for
- Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Excel including Vlookups and pivot tables
- Previous cost or financial experience
- Understanding of budgeting and forecasting
- Experience in variance analysis and capturing project costs
Qualifications
- Qualified Level 4 – AAT or Certificate level CCAB/CIMA or working towards qualification
