High Resolution Sonar Scientist
You will apply research to real-world problems and develop scientific solutions in the underwater battlefield for UK defence and international partners. Working within a team at the forefront of underwater acoustics, you will investigate and provide expert advice on new sonar algorithms and capabilities for contact detection, classification, and localisation. You will collaborate with MOD customers and drive technological advances for the Royal Navy in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

- Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly
- Strong work ethic and ability to manage competing priorities
Qualifications
- A degree in Mathematics, Physics, or Acoustics

Open to UK nationals only. Dual nationals are not eligible to apply.
Selection process
Sifting will take place from 28th October with interviews on 24th and 25th November at Porton Down. The interview will consist of behavioural and technical competency-based questions.
