Operational Support Grade - Advance Into Justice (Wales)
This role involves supporting the smooth and secure daily operations of a prison environment through a variety of physical and administrative tasks. Staff handle gate duties, monitor CCTV and control rooms, welcome visitors, process mail and prisoner property, and assist with escorting duties and food delivery. Working as part of a prison support team, postholders interact with colleagues, visitors, contractors, and sometimes prisoners across day and night shifts on a rolling shift pattern. The position requires strong teamwork, physical stamina for active tasks, and adherence to security procedures.
