Policy Adviser (multiple vacancies)
Policy advisers at HM Treasury help shape the UK economy by developing tax policies, managing public finances, and advising government ministers. Day to day, you will analyse data, write policy recommendations, manage projects, and collaborate closely with colleagues across government departments and international partners. You might work on taxes related to energy, transport, international trade, or personal finance, depending on where you are placed. The role places you at the heart of decision-making, requiring you to balance competing priorities and communicate complex ideas clearly.
