Prison Officer - HMP Foston Hall
Prison officers protect the public, maintain safety, and help make a positive impact on the lives of prisoners in custody. Officers work directly with individuals in a fast-paced environment, acting as peacekeepers, counsellors, and teachers to build constructive professional relationships. Teamwork plays a vital role in supporting colleagues to keep the prison secure and running effectively day to day. Staff must be prepared to work various shifts and weekends in a unique custodial setting.

This job is broadly open to UK nationals, Republic of Ireland nationals, Commonwealth citizens with the right to work, EU/EEA/Swiss/Turkish nationals with appropriate status.
Selection process
Closing date is 3rd September 2026. Assessment includes online tests, an online assessment centre, and a medical and fitness test.
