Prison Officer - HMP Portland and HMP The Verne
Prison officers protect the public and help make a positive impact on prisoners' lives in a fast-paced and unique environment. You will work directly with offenders, acting as a peacekeeper, counsellor, and teacher while building constructive relationships. Teamwork plays a vital role as you support colleagues on various shifts and weekends to keep everyone safe. You will also need to pass a medical and fitness assessment as part of the application process.
