Probation Service Officer - Reading (South Central)
The job holder undertakes the full range of work with people on probation before and after sentence, including assessment, sentence implementation, offender management, and report production. They provide case management support to a full range of people on probation utilizing service procedures and practice directions. Day-to-day responsibilities involve managing a caseload of medium and lower risk offenders, assessing and managing risks, and working closely with agencies throughout the justice system. The role supports offenders by providing practical advice and listening, and operates within various settings such as courts, prisons, and community teams.
