Project Support Officer
Project Support Officers contribute to the delivery of projects and programmes across GCHQ by supporting planning, scheduling, risk management, governance, and reporting activities. They work closely with project managers, stakeholders, and customers to maintain high-quality information, support governance, and help teams respond to emerging issues. The role operates within a deployable pool where individuals may be assigned to different projects and business areas based on organizational priorities. Team members build expertise across a broad range of project support disciplines while operating in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
What they're looking for
- Experience in a PMO, project controls, or project delivery environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Strong communication skills for building relationships and managing conflict
- Ability to work independently and manage competing demands in ambiguity
Qualifications
- Four GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above including English Language and Maths
Nationality requirements
To work at GCHQ, you need to be a British citizen or hold dual British nationality.
Selection process
The process includes an online Situational Judgement Test, an application sift, and a virtual interview.
