Antimicrobial Resistance Disease Consultant
The Antimicrobial Resistance Disease Consultant provides specialist scientific and technical expertise to support the surveillance, diagnosis, prevention, and control of bacterial diseases affecting animal and public health. You will lead strategic activities, manage reference laboratory functions, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including government bodies and international organizations to tackle antimicrobial resistance. The role involves overseeing surveillance projects, reviewing scientific outputs, and providing expert advice to policy makers and the farming industry. Working within the Bacteriology Department, you will help shape national responses and research directions for bacterial diseases and food safety.

Qualifications
- Degree in Veterinary Medicine
- Postgraduate qualification or evidence of significant experience
- Registered to the Royal Veterinary College
Nationality requirements
Open to UK, Irish, Commonwealth, and eligible EU/EEA/Swiss nationals with settled or pre-settled status under the EUSS. Weybridge-based staff require at least three years of continuous UK residency.
