Area Lead - West Yorkshire and York & North Yorkshire
The Area Lead is a senior, place-based policy role responsible for shaping economic growth across West Yorkshire and York & North Yorkshire. The postholder connects regional priorities and evidence to national policy development, working closely with local combined authorities, businesses, and government partners. Day to day, they provide clear advice to Ministers and senior officials, support major regional priority projects, and lead policy engagement. This is a high-impact role for an experienced policy professional who turns complex evidence into clear recommendations.
