Strategic Advisor to the South West and Wales, Places for Growth
This role drives the Places for Growth transformation strategy across the South West and Wales to build sustainable civil service communities and strengthen cross-government partnerships. The postholder leads regional activities, collaborates with senior stakeholders including heads of place, and helps shape local place plans and talent pipelines. Day-to-day duties involve coordinating cross-government teams, influencing senior leaders, utilizing data for regional insights, and drafting ministerial briefings. The position blends national programme delivery with local engagement to support a modern and innovative civil service.
