Coastal Operations Area Commander
The Coastal Operations Area Commander leads a dedicated team of officers and volunteers to deliver search and rescue operations for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency. You will manage budgets, oversee training, ensure governance compliance, and collaborate with emergency services and community partners. This physically demanding and autonomous role requires making critical risk-based decisions during emergency response situations. You will work closely with coastguard rescue staff while maintaining practitioner skills to support field operations.

Qualifications
- A full UK driving licence
- Willingness to gain a teaching or training qualification to level 3 or above

Selection process
Sift takes place week commencing 19/10/2026. Interviews will be conducted in person at the Dover office week commencing 09/11/2026.
