Estates Senior Technical Services Manager - Waste
This senior leadership role is responsible for setting the strategic direction for waste management across the defence science estate, ensuring all waste services are safe, compliant, and efficient. The post holder acts as the subject matter expert for waste management, providing technical leadership, assurance, and advice to senior stakeholders, service providers, and partners. Daily activities include leading waste strategy, managing supplier relationships, providing technical guidance, and driving operational improvements while developing the waste management team. The role works closely with internal stakeholders, regulators, suppliers, and senior leaders to maintain high environmental and safety standards.
What they're looking for
- Chartered Waste Manager CIWM or significant experience
- NEBOSH Environmental Management qualification
- 5-10+ years experience in waste or facilities management
- Strong knowledge of waste legislation and compliance
- Proven stakeholder management and leadership skills

Selection process
Sifting will take place week commencing 12th October with interviews from 2nd November 2026. The interview includes a presentation.
