Fire National Resilience Senior Policy Advisers
These senior policy adviser roles within the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government support national resilience policy and capability development. Postholders focus on either Marauding Terrorist Attack or Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear capabilities, managing reviews and delivery plans. They build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the fire and rescue sector and cross-Whitehall colleagues. The positions involve preparing ministerial briefings, managing project governance and budgets, and helping the emergency services respond effectively to large-scale or critical incidents.

Nationality requirements
Open to UK, Irish, Commonwealth, EU and Turkish nationals with the appropriate right to work or EUSS status.
Selection process
Sifting is envisaged the week commencing 26 October 2026. Interviews are planned for the week commencing 9 November 2026 via videocall.
