The Group Cyber Security Assurance Principal leads cyber security assurance activities to protect critical services, systems, and information across the Department for Transport Group. The role involves overseeing the delivery of the Government Cyber Action Plan, monitoring compliance with the National Cyber Security Centre's Cyber Assessment Framework, and championing secure-by-design principles. Working within the Digital, Information and Security Directorate, the postholder collaborates closely with senior stakeholders to assess cyber risks and develop robust security governance frameworks.

• Experience implementing cyber security policies and frameworks
• Strong knowledge of security threats and risk management
• Experience of incident response and crisis management
• Knowledge of ISO 27001/2 and the Cyber Assessment Framework
