HMP Hewell SPI Textiles Garment Manufacture
The job holder will provide supervision, knowledge, and skills to prisoners in a specialist textile workshop to improve their employment prospects and reduce reoffending. They will teach prisoners towards nationally recognised qualifications while ensuring high standards of security, control, and discipline are maintained. Daily duties include training prisoners in machinery and safety, managing work schedules and quality standards, and maintaining equipment. The role requires working closely with prisoners, external organisations, and prison staff within a custodial establishment.

- Relevant work experience in a production environment
- Experience using industrial standard machinery and equipment
- Basic IT, maths, and English skills
- Spoken English or Welsh proficiency
Qualifications
- Level 3 or equivalent in Textiles related subject
