Infrastructure Operations Engineer (Platform/DevOps)
This role involves ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of cloud platforms that host mission-critical services for millions of citizens. The successful candidate will perform day-to-day operations, monitor system performance, automate deployments using Infrastructure as Code, and respond rapidly to incidents. Working within Enterprise Cloud Services alongside platform engineering and service desk teams, the postholder will drive continuous improvement and maintain compliance standards.
What they're looking for
- Experience operating in AWS, or Azure
- Proven incident & problem management, and root-cause analysis capability
- Proficiency with Linux systems administration
- Capability in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
- Knowledge of GitLab CI/CD, including pipeline design and runners
Nationality requirements
Open to UK, Republic of Ireland, Commonwealth, EU, Swiss, Norwegian, Icelandic, Liechtenstein, and Turkish nationals with appropriate rights or settled status.
