Senior Application Operations Engineer
The Senior Application Operations Engineer plays a key role in ensuring the reliability, stability, and continuous improvement of business-critical applications within the Department for Work and Pensions. Working across cloud, on-premises platforms, and databases, you will lead operational support activities, manage service performance, and act as a technical escalation point. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, engineers, and stakeholders to resolve complex issues and participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota. Additionally, you will help shape operational practices, drive automation, and support the development of colleagues across the team.
