Investigations Case Officer
Investigations Case Officers conduct lawful investigations to tackle public sector fraud, developing cases for criminal prosecution and civil litigation. They analyze large volumes of data, collaborate with partner agencies and outsourced contractors, and act as witnesses in court proceedings. Team members also help develop operational policies and procedures following new legislative powers. The role requires regular travel for interviews and searches.

- Recent experience in criminal fraud investigations
- Recent experience of evidential case file submissions
- Strong skills in evaluation, insight and decision-making
- Ability to form and deliver through collaborative relationships
Qualifications
- Accredited Membership of the government counter fraud profession
- CIPFA Accredited Counter Fraud Specialist (ACFS)
- CIPFA Diploma in Counter Fraud management
- Professionalising Investigations Programme (PIP) level 2 or above
Nationality requirements
Most candidates need 5 years of UK residency. Open to UK, Irish, Commonwealth, EU, EUSS, and Turkish nationals with the right to work.
Selection process
Interviews will be conducted remotely via Google Meet and will include a short presentation.
