The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs is seeking a Lead Security Architect to embed secure-by-design principles into critical national infrastructure and public-facing services. You will lead threat modelling capabilities, provide actionable architecture guidance, and partner directly with multidisciplinary delivery teams to ensure systems are secure. Working within the digital security teams, you will help make it easier and faster for people to interact with Defra services while maintaining robust security standards. Your day-to-day work will involve identifying potential security gaps, designing practical mitigations, and applying risk management frameworks across complex technical environments.

Open to UK, Irish, Commonwealth, EU and Turkish nationals with the right to work in the UK.

Interviews will be held face-to-face in the London office. Interview dates are to be confirmed.
