Navy Command, HMS Nelson Small Arms Maintainer 1
You will manage the armoury facility at HMS Nelson, carrying out maintenance routines on small arms to ensure high availability across all weapon outfits. Your day involves issuing and receiving weapons and equipment, maintaining accurate equipment assessments, and preparing saluting platforms for national events. You will work closely with Navy Command teams, front-line units, and various military personnel to maintain operational readiness. This hands-on role requires strong technical competence in weapons maintenance and a commitment to maintaining high safety and compliance standards.
What they're looking for
- Advanced weapons maintenance qualification or equivalent technical competence
- Knowledge of small arms maintenance policy and processes
- Experience in tracking and issuing equipment between units
- Proficient in Microsoft tools and able to learn bespoke systems
- Full UK driving licence
Qualifications
- WES719B Small Arms Advanced Maintainer (Royal Navy) or Class 1 Armourer (Army or RM)
- Full UK driving licence
