Navy Command - Wear Debris Section Analyst (Aerosystems Engineer/Scientist)
This role involves working as a condition monitoring specialist within the Wear Debris Section of 1710 Naval Air Squadron in Portsmouth. The postholder analyses aircraft transmission and engine wear debris samples using specialized laboratory equipment to identify early signs of mechanical failure. They interpret this data to provide vital airworthiness recommendations and fault reports to military aircraft operators and manufacturers. The candidate will collaborate closely with a mixed team of civil servants and military technical specialists to support UK military air safety.
