Prison Catering: Caterer - HMP Moorland
You will work in a professional industrial kitchen environment to prepare and cook quality, nutritional meals for the entire prison. You will oversee the work of offenders to help them learn new skills and increase their chances of employment upon release. You will work 37 hours a week on shift patterns that include weekends and public holidays. You will collaborate with the prison catering team while helping individuals turn their lives around.
What they're looking for
- Familiar with health, safety and hygiene regulations
- Competent within an industrial kitchen environment
- Able to speak with confidence in English
Qualifications
- Level 2 certificate in food production within hospitality and catering or equivalent
- Food hygiene certificate at Level 2
- Vocational qualification at Level 3 or willingness to work towards it
Nationality requirements
Open to UK, Irish, Commonwealth, EU, Swiss, Norwegian, Icelandic, Liechtenstein and Turkish nationals with relevant work rights.
