Research Associate
The Research Associate conducts research and data analysis on the design, development, and delivery of qualifications in England. Working within the Standards Unit at Ofqual, the role involves solving complex statistical and data-related challenges to inform regulatory decisions and national policy. The postholder collaborates with leading assessment experts to generate insights that support public confidence in national academic and vocational qualifications. Training and opportunities for developing expertise in assessment are provided to help ensure standards are appropriately assessed and maintained.

Qualifications
- Degree in a subject with emphasis on quantitative or qualitative research methods
Nationality requirements
Open to UK nationals, Republic of Ireland, Commonwealth, EU/EEA/Swiss nationals with EUSS status, and Turkish nationals.
Selection process
Sift deadline 7 October 2026. Interviews take place on 28 and 30 October 2026 and include a presentation or task.
