The Risk and Assurance Lead helps establish a consistent and effective approach to risk, assurance, compliance, and performance reporting within the Railway Safety Directorate at the Office of Rail and Road. Working closely with colleagues across the directorate, the postholder develops processes, reporting arrangements, and practical tools to help managers understand key risks and monitor performance. This role ensures that resources are focused on the right priorities and that emerging issues are identified early to keep Britain's railways safe for passengers, workers, and the public.

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
• Ability to analyse data and produce management information
• Experience supporting effective reporting and information management
