The Senior Cyber Security Engineer leads the design, implementation, and assurance of cyber security controls across cloud platforms, applications, and infrastructure to deliver secure public services. They translate security policy and risk into practical cloud solutions while working closely with architecture, engineering, and product teams. Acting as a technical authority, they provide hands-on expertise, consultancy, and risk-based guidance throughout the delivery lifecycle. They also build secure tooling, configure automated deployment pipelines using infrastructure as code, and champion best practices across the organisation.

• Experience implementing cloud native security controls such as IAM and encryption
• Experience embedding security across the full delivery lifecycle
• Experience creating automated security controls and assurance using IaC

Nationality requirements

Open to UK, Republic of Ireland, Commonwealth, and EU/EEA/Swiss nationals with settled status, plus eligible Turkish nationals.
