Senior DevOps Engineer
The Senior DevOps Engineer designs, builds, and operates deployment capabilities for Ofwat's data platforms, working within the IT Operations team in the Corporate Enablers Directorate. The role focuses on Azure DevOps and Microsoft Fabric, establishing repeatable and secure routes for changes to move from development through test to production. The postholder works with data engineers, architects, IT security, and suppliers to automate deployment pipelines, configure environments, and implement infrastructure as code. Additionally, the engineer shares technical expertise and DevOps best practices across multidisciplinary teams through pairing, workshops, and code reviews.
What they're looking for
- Experience delivering Azure DevOps CI/CD solutions for complex cloud platforms
- Experience deploying and managing Microsoft Fabric, Power BI and Azure data services
- Strong automation and infrastructure-as-code skills using Bicep, Terraform or PowerShell
- Understanding of secure delivery practices in Azure including access controls and secrets
- Experience supporting production services with deployment monitoring and troubleshooting
