Senior Pharmacist / Senior Pharmacy Technician
The Senior Pharmacist or Senior Pharmacy Technician supports the Department of Health and Social Care in overseeing the NHS pharmaceutical supply chain and managing medicine shortages. The role involves working closely with national clinical experts, regulatory bodies, and global counterparts to develop preventative strategies and local management plans. The postholder also provides professional pharmacy input to wider policy areas, responds to parliamentary and public queries, and engages with senior stakeholders. Additionally, the candidate helps maintain reporting portals and operates within a flexible team that adapts to shifting global supply chain threats.
