Senior Sanctions Adviser
This role involves supporting the development, implementation, and review of General Licences that permit specific activities otherwise prohibited by UK financial sanctions. The successful candidate will research complex issues, analyse evidence, and provide clear written and oral advice to senior colleagues and Ministers. Daily tasks include contributing to litigation and legal challenges, managing sensitive workstreams, and responding to stakeholder feedback and queries. You will work closely with the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and other government stakeholders to ensure financial sanctions are implemented effectively.

Nationality requirements
Applicants must meet the UK right to work and residency requirements, typically having lived in the UK for at least 3 out of the past 5 years.
