Trainees join a structured development programme to become Senior Tax Specialists at HM Revenue and Customs. You will manage your own workload, handle real tax casework, and work directly with customers, accountants, and tax advisers. The role involves gathering and evaluating complex evidence, resolving tax enquiries, and building specialist knowledge across various tax areas. You will balance customer-facing casework with formal learning, independent study, and assessments to ensure the correct amount of tax is collected.
