Weapons Effect Analyst
As a Weapon Effects Analyst, you will conduct analysis and modelling to assess the effects of weapons on people, infrastructure, and military capability. You will work within the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory to provide impartial scientific advice that helps the Ministry of Defence minimise harm to civilians and support lawful force. Day to day, you will research and improve modelling techniques, handle complex projects, and communicate technical findings clearly to various audiences. You will also collaborate with colleagues across Defence, government, industry, and international partners to shape future capabilities.

Qualifications
- Degree in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline

Open to UK nationals only. This job is not open to candidates who hold a dual nationality.
Selection process
Sifting takes place week commencing 19th October with interviews on 10th and 17th November 2026. Interviews will be held at Dstl Portsdown West and consist of a behavioural and technical interview.
