Aerothermodynamic Modeller
You will provide in-depth specialist aerodynamic and aerothermal expertise to support UK defence decision-making and capability development. You will use your judgement to reach evidence-based conclusions and contribute scientific expertise to customers through various communication methods. The role involves working within the Dstl Strategic Systems Delivery Team to develop and exploit expertise in strategic offensive and defensive weapon system analysis. You will respond to time-critical and high-priority requests while communicating complex technical information clearly under pressure.
What they're looking for
- Degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, or maths
- Strong background in fluid dynamics and aerodynamics
- Experience working with CFD tools
- Ability to manage competing priorities and remain calm under pressure

Selection process
Sifting will take place week commencing 2nd November with interviews arranged from 16th November at Portsdown West, including a presentation.
