Application Operations Engineer - Extended Days
This role involves supporting internal and customer-facing applications at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency while helping migrate legacy technology to new cloud-based platforms. The successful candidate will investigate and resolve complex technical incidents, ensure systems are fit for purpose, and mentor junior engineers. Working collaboratively within a technical team, the person will also participate in an extended-days shift pattern and support continuous improvement across multiple products.

- Experience in leading on all aspects of supporting bespoke applications
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to interpret code as part of troubleshooting issues
- Experience mentoring junior members of the team
Nationality requirements
Open to UK, Republic of Ireland, Commonwealth, EU, Swiss, Norwegian, Icelandic, Liechtenstein and Turkish nationals with appropriate rights or EUSS status.
Selection process
Sift takes place week commencing 05/10/2026. Interviews take place week commencing 19/10/2026 in person at the Swansea office.
