Assistant Economist - Global Economics
This role sits at the centre of HM Treasury's work on the global economy, focusing on international comparisons and analysis of structural trends such as artificial intelligence. You will assess the UK's economic performance relative to peers to provide insights for labour market, growth, and fiscal policy. Working closely with policy teams, analysts, and international partners, you will deliver high-quality economic analysis and advice to inform the UK's approach. Day to day, you will lead international labour market and artificial intelligence impact analysis, support G20 priorities, and build strong cross-government partnerships.

Qualifications

Nationality requirements
Applicants must meet the nationality rules and have lived in the UK for at least 3 out of the past 5 years.
