Regulatory Economist and Appraisal Economist
This role delivers high-quality economic analysis and analytical assurance to support the regulatory and investment programmes of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency. The postholder works within the Economic Analysis Team to influence policy development, support impact assessments, evaluate business cases, and embed good analytical practice. Collaborating with colleagues across the agency and the Department for Transport, the work ensures that spending proposals and regulations are supported by robust, evidence-based decision making. Ultimately, the role helps shape public sector decisions and strengthens the agency's overall analytical strategy.

Qualifications
- 2:1 undergraduate degree in Economics or a related subject with a strong economic component
