Senior Assistant Economist
This role delivers economic analysis and strategic advice to shape growth and industrial policy within the Department for Business and Trade. The postholder works closely with policy teams, strategy groups, and senior leaders to design evidence-based policies and support decision-making. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting analytical projects, responding rapidly to changing department priorities, and communicating complex insights clearly. The position combines multiple analytical approaches to address key economic challenges and help drive the Good Growth agenda.
