Bovine Tuberculosis (bTB) Epidemiology Vet
This role involves leading epidemiological analysis and generating evidence to support bovine tuberculosis control and eradication in Wales. You will provide specialist veterinary advice to inform policy and operational decisions, while working closely with government, academic institutions, and industry partners. Day to day, you will support disease investigations, manage complex cases, and communicate scientific information to various audiences. Additionally, you will participate in an on-call rota to provide out-of-hours cover as required by the business.

- Experience of collecting, analysing and interpreting data for animal health or welfare issues
- Strong interpersonal, and evidence-based decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for complex scientific information
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and statistical software like R for data analysis
- Experience working with internal and external stakeholders to provide advice
Qualifications
- Veterinary degree conferring eligibility to practice as a Member or Fellow of the RCVS
- Membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons
Nationality requirements
Open to UK, Irish, Commonwealth, EU, Swiss, Norwegian, Icelandic, Liechtenstein, and Turkish nationals with appropriate status.
Selection process
Interviews will take place via Teams and will include a presentation assessing the communicating and influencing behaviour.
