Senior Scientist (Epidemiology)
This role involves coordinating and developing the collation and epidemiological analysis of acute respiratory infection surveillance datasets derived from metagenomic sequencing. The postholder will conduct analyses to monitor trends, supervise junior scientific staff, and lead on delivering surveillance and policy reports. They will work within the acute respiratory infections team alongside scientific partners, public health practitioners, and academic units. The position is vital for investigating major national outbreaks and supporting government agencies in managing public health risks.
