Chartered Surveyor - Technical Lead
You will act as a Council Tax Technical Lead within HM Revenue and Customs, providing expert guidance on complex valuation, legislative, and procedural matters. Your day involves interpreting Council Tax legislation, supporting litigation cases, and collaborating with operational leaders to ensure consistent decisions across a nationally dispersed operation. You will also help shape valuation practice, develop technical guidance, and mentor colleagues to strengthen overall team capability.

Qualifications
- MRICS / FRICS or IRRV (Hons) in valuation or real estate

Selection process
Sift takes place on 5th and 6th October 2026. Interviews are held on 20th and 21st October 2026 via Microsoft Teams video, including a presentation and technical questions.
