Criminal Investigation Officer
The Food Standards Agency is hiring a Criminal Investigation Officer to protect food safety and animal welfare by investigating regulatory and criminal offences in primary production businesses. You will plan and conduct detailed, independent investigations, interview suspects and witnesses, and build robust cases that stand up to court scrutiny. You will work closely with legal teams, the Crown Prosecution Service, and external partners across the Wales and West of England region. The role requires regular travel to approved food business establishments and operating under your own supervision.

- Proven experience managing complex investigations and workloads
- Strong written and verbal communication for court presentation
- Ability to maintain motivation on an independent caseload
Qualifications
- Full Driving Licence (Manual or Automatic) for category B vehicles
- Professionalising Investigations Programme (PIP) Level 2 accreditation or equivalent
