Data Protection Advisor
As a Data Protection Advisor, you will provide expert privacy and compliance advice across the Home Office and its arm's length bodies. You will help ensure personal data is processed lawfully while supporting high-profile departmental priorities and assessing data breaches or enquiries. Working closely with senior colleagues, internal teams, and the Information Commissioner's Office, you will help embed a strong culture of data protection by design and default. You will also produce clear guidance and recommendations to support decision-making and risk mitigation.

- Expert knowledge of UK and EU privacy legislation and GDPR
- Experience advising on data protection in complex environments
- Ability to analyse and explain complex legal requirements
- Skill in identifying privacy risks and recommending mitigations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder influencing skills
Qualifications
- Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection (PC.dp.)
