Deputy Director - East of England
The Deputy Director leads the Department for Education's work within the East of England region to improve outcomes for children, families, and learners. They act as a senior system leader, shaping national policy delivery locally and managing complex multi-disciplinary programmes across SEND, children's social care, and school standards. The role involves building strong relationships with local authorities, trusts, and sector leaders to drive collective improvement and manage significant risks. The postholder works as part of the regional senior leadership team, providing expert advice to ministers and senior leaders.

Selection process
