Deputy Director, Local Digital and AI Transformation and Services
This role leads a portfolio supporting local authorities to improve services through digital, data, and responsible artificial intelligence. The postholder oversees approximately 50 million pounds in programme activity and provides strategic leadership across artificial intelligence products, service transformation, and local government reform. The successful candidate works extensively with ministers, local leaders, and suppliers while leading multidisciplinary teams spanning policy, product, delivery, data, and programme management. The position is part of the senior leadership team for the Local Digital and Artificial Intelligence Programme within the department.
