Deputy Director, Railway Engineering & Investment
The Deputy Director of Railway Engineering and Investment serves as the senior technical authority for railway engineering, asset management, and capital investment across Great Britain's rail network. The role involves providing expert oversight of asset stewardship, leading regulatory activity with Network Rail and other duty holders, and advising the board and executive committee on technical evidence. Working closely with government departments, industry leaders, and a multidisciplinary team, the postholder helps shape the future of railway regulation during a significant industry transformation. The position is part of the Senior Leadership Team and reports directly to the Director of Planning and Performance.
