Band 3 Chemical Engineering Nuclear Safety Inspector
As a Chemical Engineering Nuclear Safety Inspector, you will regulate the safety of nuclear facilities across the UK, ranging from new build construction to decommissioning. You will work within a specialist team to assess safety submissions, review chemical engineering hazards, and make expert technical judgments on nuclear processes. Your day to day involves conducting inspections, managing intervention projects, and providing guidance on complex radioactive and chemical interactions. This critical role helps secure safe operations and supports the nation's energy and defence requirements.

- Experience applying chemical engineering to high-hazard facilities
- Knowledge of chemical engineering hazards and safety submissions
- Familiarity with nuclear fuel storage, treatment or waste disposal
- Strong technical analysis, decision making and communication skills
Qualifications
- Degree level qualification in chemical engineering or related discipline
- Chartered membership of a relevant professional institution
- Full UK driving licence
