Environmental Protection Lead
You will lead the development and delivery of the environmental protection strategy, driving standards, compliance, and continual improvement across the organisation. Working closely with safety leadership, you will oversee environmental management systems, risk management, and governance arrangements. You will provide expert advice, coach a team of environmental specialists, and influence senior stakeholders to embed best practice. This role is essential for shaping the future of environmental stewardship and ensuring safe, sustainable, and responsible operations.
What they're looking for
- Significant experience leading environmental management programmes in complex or high-hazard environments
- Strong leadership, influencing and stakeholder management skills
- Experience delivering environmental audits, compliance programmes and management systems
- Sound understanding of environmental legislation, sustainability best practice and governance
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 and environmental risk management
Qualifications
- Bachelors or masters degree or Environmental qualification at NQF Level 5
- NEBOSH General Certificate Level 3 or equivalent
- Practitioner level membership of an environmental professional body
