Financial Control Officer
The Financial Control Officer helps manage financial transactions and reporting for the Cabinet Office, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Day to day, the role involves reviewing general ledgers, assisting with monthly VAT returns, carrying out balance sheet reconciliations, and checking journals. The post holder works closely with finance teams, shared service centers, and auditors to drive continuous improvements in financial accounts. Ultimately, the role ensures that all financial records are fully evidenced, well-governed, and support effective decision-making across government.
